PEC’s The TV Shield, a Weatherproof TV Enclosure, to Protect TVs at the Navy SEAL Museum

Protective Enclosures Company (PEC) today announced that a The TV Shield outdoor TV enclosure is now being used at the Navy SEAL Museum on North Hutchinson Island in Florida. As the leading US manufacturer of secure weatherproof indoor and outdoor TV and digital signage enclosures, PEC is honored to be supplying units to such a respected organization. Justin King, CEO at PEC, issued this statement “The Navy SEAL Museum is a noteworthy American national treasure. PEC is honored and humbled to be contributing to the quality of the exhibits which honor some of the country’s most distinct defense measures and heroes.” The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum provides a rare look at the world and history of Naval Special Warfare, including insight on the heroic stories of those who have served this great country.

A new and innovative addition to the museum experience, TVs will now show footage for museum guests inside select Navy SEAL Museum exhibit vehicles. A recently installed The TV Shield (TVS4050H model) offers protection from water, tampering and potential accidental damage caused by passengers for a TV located in an 82-foot Mark V Special Operations Craft (SOC). This heavy-duty watercraft was once used as an insertion and extraction platform for special operations forces. The Navy SEAL Museum also plans to use a PEC protective case over a TV in the UH60 Black Hawk Helicopter exhibit. Shot down three times while in service, the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is a four-bladed, twin-engine, medium-lift utility helicopter that has been flown in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Columbia, Poland, Okinawa and the Horn of Africa.

Offering defense against vandalism, theft, rain, hot temperatures, cold climates, moisture, bugs and more, PEC’s products are becoming a valuable asset for many government facilities such as research labs, armed forces buildings, compounds, museums and parks. PEC has also provided The TV Shield weatherproof TV enclosures and The Display Shield outdoor digital signage enclosures for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, the Florida Air National Guard, the Delaware Air National Guard and Glacier National Park. PEC enclosures can be found in over 6,000 residential and commercial locations in 15+ countries worldwide.
